Newspaper advertisements for the motorcycle brands sold by Finlay Brothers offer a fascinating glimpse into the commercial world of the early Melbourne motorcycle industry.
However, not only were companies competing strongly for customer attention. Competition between the various traders in Melbourne - in securing the agencies of some of the more popular motorcycle brands -would also have been fierce.
